there's no glitter in the gutter, there's no twlight galaxy...

My family celebrates birthdays in a big way. Rather than just buying the matching streamers, paper plates and napkin set at the party store, we plan themes, color schemes, debate over fonts for signs, brave going into the special freezer at the wholesale flower market, and force the birthday boy/girl to be locked down in their room, maximum security-style, the night before their big day so that the rest of the family can hang/float/tape/pin the decorations. This year since I'm a November baby who happened to read the Twilight series, my sisters thought it'd be amusing and timely (if you live in a cave, New Moon comes out 11/20) to use the vampire books as inspiration for my birthday decorations. Here's what they came up with. All the quotes were easily downloaded via Hostess With the Mostess. The lovely (and spooky!) red glow was easily achieved by placing a red flood light (typically used at Christmas time to illuminate the big tree in our front yard) under the table, hidden by the tablecloth. The result was pretty, cheesy, and fun all at the same time:*blog title is from Metric's song "Twilight Galaxy" see right side bar--->
O negative.
