Paper Magnolias

For a recent birthday celebration my sister and I decorated using paper magnolias that came 3 in 1 kit that we picked up from Paper Source during a trip to DC. Hawaii doesn't have a Paper Source store but I'm definitely going to buy more of their flower kits online (here). We opted for the giant warm white magnolias and it took us (2 people) about 1 hour to do everything -- trace the stencil of the petals onto provided paper, cut the petals, glue the petals to wire, cut the stamen, shape the petals, and wire everything together. The most time consuming part was waiting for glue to dry when sticking the wire to each petal. It was more work intensive than say the Martha Stewart dahlia pom-pom kit, but still fairly simple and painless to do considering the overall effect that we got. Very pretty and also very cost effective...this kit only cost $14.
Don't mind the ghetto-ness of the wrinkled table cloth.

b'day cake makes everything better.
